Clean Dishwasher Garbage Disposal

Troubleshooting:

  1. Run the garbage disposal to clear any food.
  2. Cut a lemon or lime into quarters and put in the garbage disposal.
  3. Turn the tap water on as hot as possible and run the garbage disposal for one minute.
  4. Turn off the garbage disposal and lift the rubber flaps and wipe each with a soapy cloth. Rinse.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda down garbage disposal followed by 1/2 cup white vinegar and let sit for at least 5 minutes.
  6. Turn the tap water on as hot as possible and flush out the garbage disposal for 30 seconds.
