Convection Steam Oven Displays "Fill Water Tank"

Cause:

  • No water in tank
  • Water tank not inserted correctly
  • Water inlet blocked or scaled up
  • Inlet valve jammed or faulty; hose is squashed
  • Faulty level detector pin wiring
  • Break in earth conductor of heating element of boiler or in processor
  • Boiler level pin scaled up

Troubleshooting:

The "Fill Water Tank" message will appear when the water tank is near empty. Tank will not be completely empty. If "Fill Water Tank" appears on the display, remove the water tank, fill with water and return to the water tank compartment.

  1. To open the tank, push the Water button.
  2. Pull water tank straight out to remove.
  3. Add water to tank as needed.
    • Make sure cold tap water is being used to fill the water tank.
    • Do not use demineralized, filtered, bottled, reverse osmosis filtered or distilled water.

  4. If "Please Insert Water Tank" appears, refer to Convection Steam Oven Please Insert Water Tank Message.
  5. If the message does not disappear after adding more water, turn the home circuit breaker to the unit off for 30 seconds and back on again. Retest the unit operation.
  6. If the unit has not been descaled within last 6-18 months, refer to Wolf Convection Steam Oven Descaling.

  8. If the "Fill Water Tank" message still appears after these steps are complete, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
