Wolf Oven with Probe Flashing on Display or Probe Does Not Register

Troubleshooting:

"PROBE?" or "? PROBE" Appears:

  1. The oven is not sensing the probe. Try removing and reinserting the probe.
  2. Verify the probe is fully seated in the probe receptacle before adjusting the probe temperature setting.
  3. If these steps do not resolve the issue, continue to Probe Does Not Work.

Probe Does Not Work:

  1. Confirm the proper mode is being used. Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for information on which modes can use a temperature probe.
  2. The probe should "click" into place. Refer to Wolf Temperature Probe Instructions for product-specific instructions on using and setting probe.
  3. If the probe connector is not fully seated into the probe receptacle, PROBE flashes on the display.
  4. Check for debris in the receptacle. Use a can of air to help remove debris.
  5. If the oven still does not sense the probe, and the PROBE message continues to flash, a new probe may be needed. Contact a Factory Certified Parts Distributor to order parts. 

Probe Message Appears When Not Using Probe:

  1. Confirm the proper mode is being used. Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for information on which modes can use a temperature probe.
    • After selecting a cooking mode, "Probe" appears near the top of the screen if the probe can be used. Probe" remains on the screen, even if the probe is not used.
  2. Make sure that the programmed temperature is for the oven temperature, not the probe temperature.

If the above troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
