A whole suite of technologies makes the Sub-Zero built-in the ultimate preserver of freshness. An antimicrobial air purification system, based on technology from the space program, scrubs the air of mold, bacteria, viruses, and ethylene, a gas naturally emitted by foods such as apples that hastens spoilage.
To help you make the most of all this innovative food preservation technology, freshness cards inside the refrigerator show you the optimum storage temperature for each type of food. They even tell you which foods not to refrigerate!
Digital controls keep the temperature within 1°F of where you set it. Doors seal magnetically on all four sides, locking in cold air and saving energy. There’s even a “fridge within a fridge,” a lower-temperature, higher-humidity zone that keeps vegetables crisp and flavorful even longer.
