Madison , WI (April 21, 2006) – Wolf Appliance Co., a leading manufacturer of cooking appliances, introduced today their 45-inch downdraft ventilation unit and the upgraded 30-inch warming drawer. These new products are scheduled to hit retail showrooms this year.
“We are dedicated to providing our customers with a full complement of cooking accessories that help combine exceptional cooking performance with professional style cooking at home,” says Jim Bakke, president and chief executive officer of Wolf and sister company, Sub-Zero Freezer Co. “We feel that these new products allow for a more complete and diversified kitchen, specially outfitted to suit the needs of our customers.”
The 45-inch downdraft unit rises nine inches from the back of the countertop to whisk away odors and smoke. This downdraft model is available in Wolf’s classic stainless steel finish to match the cooktops that will be pared with this ventilation equipment. It can be used with a grouping of three 15-inch integrated cooktops or a combination of 15-inch and 30-inch cooktop units.
With a remote-mounted control module, a three-speed blower control and a five-layer, dishwasher-safe, stainless steel mesh filter, this unit is more than an innovative exhaust, it is an artistic accoutrement. The 45-inch downdraft also has an automatic shut off feature if the unit does not sense any heat, and boasts an automatic cleaner timer.
The new warming drawer incorporates the same great features as its predecessor while adding a few new touches to expand its functionality outside the kitchen. As the first warming drawer from Wolf to be certified for use outside of the kitchen, this model introduces a whole new level of home luxury allowing consumers to incorporate warming drawers anywhere they wish. Consumers can keep food warm both in their kitchen and also outside next to the grill.
This warming drawer can even be integrated into the master suite to allow for the spa-like luxury of fresh warm towels in the comfort of home.
The warming drawer also includes features that are more familiar – such as stainless steel interiors and drawer fronts available in one of three Wolf exclusive stainless steel finishes – or integrated with a custom wood application. Full-extension, ball bearing drawer glides allow for easy opening and closing. A 450-watt heating element keeps foods at desired temperatures until eaten and preset temperature and shut-off controls for precision timing. Also available with this model is an optional five piece, stainless steel container set for warming multiple items at once.
