Serving Temperature for Wine
Wine is rarely best served at ‘room temperature’ – since room temperature can fluctuate throughout the day.
Basic guidelines for storing wines are as follows:
Sweet whites can be served cooler from 39 to 43 degrees.
Dry whites are recommended from 43 to 50 degrees.
For light reds, serve them a little warmer, from 50 to 55 degrees.
For full scale red wines, 57 to 65 degrees is best.
