In the BAKE mode, nearly all of the heat comes from the hidden bake element located in the bottom of the oven. For light browning, there is also a very small amount of heat from the broil element in the top of the oven. This mode is best for single-rack cooking, primarily baked foods. The temperature probe may be used in this mode.
