The original Clinton Inn and Eagle Tavern, which was relocated to Greenfield Village, was constructed 50 miles west of Detroit on Chicago Road in 1830, as a stage coach stop. At this respected tavern, room and board included meats and vegetables of the season, fresh-baked bread and pastries. Today, the culinary focus is on natural foods, heirloom and organic where possible, and menu selections which are rich in history. Join us as Chef Michael prepares Michigan White Bean and Thyme Soup, Pork and Apple Pie, Hand-rolled Wheat Noodles, Roasted Root Vegetables with Fresh Herbs, a Selection of Pickled Vegetables, and for dessert, Pear and Cranberry Pan Dowdy.
