Answer:

It is strongly recommended to have Factory Certified Service remove an oven door. Performance may be affected if door is not properly installed.

Hinge Pin Information:

  • E Series Wall Ovens use a hinge lock built into the hinge to help with door removal.
  • Note that the hinge pin is on the sides of the unit.
  • If a replacement hinge pin is needed, contact a Factory Certified Parts Distributor to order parts. Refer to the product Installation Guide for further information.

Required Tools:

  • Flat head screwdriver
  • Hinge pin

Oven Door Removal:

  1. Open the door to its fully opened position.
  2. With fingertip or small screwdriver, rotate hinge lock towards oven door.
  3. Lift oven door to about a 60 degree angle from horizontal.
  4. Pull door away from oven while continuing to lift and remove.

Oven Door Installation:

  1. Grasp oven door on opposite sides and lift the door until hinges are aligned with the openings in oven frame.
  2. Hold door at about a 30 degree angle from vertical.
  3. Slide hinges into openings until the bottom hinge arms drop fully into hinge receptacles.
  4. Lower the door to fully opened position and rotate hinge lock towards the oven frame.
