Answer:

In Sabbath mode:

  • All M Series Wall Ovens are Star-K compliant.
  • Audible notifications are disabled.
  • Roast, Bake, Proof, and Warm modes are the only modes that can be used in Sabbath mode.
  • Timed cooking modes can be used.
    • Timed cooking modes must be turned on prior to entering Sabbath mode.

  • All other modes are disabled.
  • Temperature probes are not functional.
  • The 20-second open door timer used to shut off the elements during normal modes has a random timer value between 16 and 32 seconds each time the door is opened.
  • On holidays when the user can change the temperature, the new set temperature changes after a random delay of between 16 and 32 seconds after the temperature is changed.
  • There is no tone or visible change to confirm the temperature has been changed on any model while in Sabbath mode.
  • Sabbath mode and any active cooking modes, set temperatures, and oven lights are restored when power returns in the event of a power interruption.
  • The 12-hour maximum oven on time is disabled.
    • The unit will remain on indefinitely until manually turned off.
  • When all of the active cooking modes are canceled with the oven off key or knob, the unit exits to the idle state.
