Sub-Zero Classic Series (BI) Control Panel Does Not Work

Topics:

  • Keys on electronic control panel not working
  • Classic Series (BI) control board not responding to commands
  • Pressing keys on BI Series user interface has no effect
  • BI Series control buttons do not work
  • Why do I have to press a key pad multiple times for it to work?

Troubleshooting:

Check the Electrical Supply

  1. Verify power is supplied to the unit.
  2. Reset the unit's electrical supply at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and retest.
  3. Verify the unit is not connected to a tripped GFCI.
  4. If accessible, test the electrical outlet that the unit is plugged into.

Check the Control Panel

The Classic (BI) control panel keys are capacitive touch sensitive, so they only need to be touched to operate.

  1. Verify only the finger tip is being used. Fingernails may not register as a touch.
  2. Verify fingers are clean. Fingers that are wet, very dry, or very cold may not register as a touch.

If the control panel is not working after these troubleshooting steps are complete, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
