Designer Undercounter Series (DEU) Control Backlighting
Topics:
- How the control panel in Designer Undercounter is lit
- Control panel lighting
- Are the control panels in a Sub-Zero Designer Undercounter unit back-lit
Answer:
Designer Undercounter units use an LCD style display with a backlight. The internal lights do not affect the display; however, the light switch does.
If the display is not visible or is partially illuminated:
- Verify power to the unit.
- Verify that the light switch is good
- Replace display panel if necessary.
- If needed, replacement lights bulbs can be purchased locally or may be ordered through a Factory Certified Parts Distributor.

Note: For Designer Undercounter Wine Storage units, control panel back lighting is not affected by the door switch. They are illuminated even when door is closed to show through the glass.
Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair if needed. Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.
