Answer:

The Control4 driver can integrate with Sub-Zero appliances through the Sub-Zero Group Owner's App. This driver enables the Control4 system to read the status of, make changes to, and receive events from the Sub-Zero appliance.

Properties

  • Device Properties are used to show appliance information.
  • The properties shown in the first table below are available for Sub-Zero appliances. Note that not all models support all of these features. Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.

Conditionals

  • The driver supports Conditionals in the Programming Actions pane. These allow custom programming scripts to make decisions based on any of the properties described below.

Commands

  • The driver supports Commands in the Programming Actions pane. These allow custom programming scripts to change selected properties. At this time, only the Mode property can be changed through this driver.

Variables

  • The driver provides the following variables. Although it is possible to write to any of these, writes will be ignored unless otherwise indicated. The variables have the same meaning as defined in the Properties section below.

    • Refrigerator Zone 2 Set Point
    • Wine Zone 1 Set Point
    • Wine Zone 2 Set Point
    • Freezer Set Point
    • Refrigerator Door Open Seconds

Events

  • The driver supports Device Events. Events can be used to implement automation sequences triggered by activity in the appliance. Supported events are listed in the second table below. Custom programming scripts may be written for any of these events.

Refrigerator Door
Indicates the state of refrigerator doors and drawers:
  • "Open" if one or more are open
  • "Closed" if all are closed
Wine Door
Indicates the state of wine zone door or doors:
  • "Open" if one or more are open
  • "Closed" if all are closed
Freezer Door
Indicates the state of freezer zone door(s) and drawer(s):
  • "Open" if one or more are open
  • "Closed" if all are closed
Refrigerator Zone 1 Set Point
The temperature setpoint for refrigerator zone 1.
  • The property accepts input from 34-45°F, but some appliances do not support the entire temperature range.
Refrigerator Zone 2 Set Point
The temperature setpoint for refrigerator zone 2.
  • The property accepts input from 34-45°F, but some appliances do not support the entire temperature range.
Wine Zone 1 Set PointThe temperature setpoint for wine zone 1.
Wine Zone 2 Set PointThe temperature setpoint for wine zone 2.
Freezer Set PointThe temperature setpoint for the freezer zone.
Ice Maker
The ice maker may be:
  • Disabled Off
  • Enabled Normal
  • Enabled with increased ice production Max Ice.
    • Max Ice cannot be permanently on; normal production will resume automatically after 24 hours.
Night Ice OnlyWhen set to true, ice production is enabled only during the nighttime hours of 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Pure AirIndicates whether the air filtration system is enabled.
Operating Mode
  • In Normal mode, the temperature setpoints operate normally.
  • In Short Vacation Mode, the freezer setpoint is 5°F and the refrigerator setpoint is 35°F.
  • In Long Vacation Mode, the freezer setpoint is raised by 5°F and the refrigerator setpoint is 44°F.
  • In High Use mode, the refrigerator setpoint is 35°F. The fan runs at high speed, and the ice maker operates in Max Ice Mode for 8 hours.
  • In Sabbath Mode, the appliance operates in conformance with Star-K sabbath guidelines.
When the appliance is in Short or Long Vacation Mode, it continues to show the original setpoints.

  • These events are triggered when a door or drawer of the named area opens or closes.
  • For areas with more than one door or drawer, or more than one zone, the event is shared by all.
  • The event happens only when all are closed and one opens, or when more than one is open and all are closed.

Wine Door Ajar 

  • These events are triggered when a named zone door or drawer stays open longer than the door ajar timeout. The default time is 5 minutes.
  • For areas with more than one door or drawer, or more than one zone, the event is shared by all.

Wine Set Point Changed

  • These events are triggered when the setpoint of the named area is changed.
  • Where multiple zones exist, the event is shared for all zones.
Wine Zone Temperature Alert
  • This event occurs if the wine zone temperature goes out of the expected range.
  • Where multiple zones exist, the event is shared for all zones.
Water Filter ExpiredThe water filter has reached the end of its estimated life.
Air Filter ExpiredThe air filter has reached the end of its estimated life.
Ice Maker Mode ChangedThe ice maker mode was changed.
Pure Air Mode ChangedThe air filtration mode was changed.
Operating Mode ChangedThe operating mode was changed.
