Answer:

To open the V Series Black Cooktop Hood filter cover to access filters for cleaning:

1. Gently pull down the front edge of the cover and allow it to rotate downward.
   • There is black foam covering the inside of the filter cover.
   • Leave the foam in place for proper hood operation. Do not remove it for any reason.
   • The foam can be blotted with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, if necessary.
     • Note: The black foam covering is not a service part. If you would like to replace it, you must order an entire new cover. 
2. Remove and clean the hood filters. Refer to Cooktop Hood Filter Removal and Cleaning.
3. To close the filter cover, rotate the front edge of the cover upward. The cover is held in place by magnets.
   • Run the hood with the filter cover closed.
