Answer:
It is normal for the countertop above the Dishwasher to be warm while the unit is in use. Setting food products that have a low melting point (i.e. chocolate) on the countertop while the unit is in use could cause it to start melting.
If the countertop is so hot that it can't be touched, Factory Certified Service is needed.
