Convection Steam Oven No Heat or No Steam

Topics:

  • Convection Steam Oven has no heat
  • Convection Steam Oven is producing no steam
  • CSO not producing steam when on
  • Dashes on display

Cause:

  • No power to unit
  • Unit in demo mode
  • Water tank leaking

Troubleshooting:

The Convection Steam Oven shows dashes instead of temperature as long as the temperature of the cavity is below 86°F (30°C). Dashes also appear if the food probe is plugged in and the measured temperature of the probe is below 86°F (30°C).

If no heat or steam:

  1. Verify that the control panel is operating normally.
  2. Turn the home circuit breaker to the unit off for 30 seconds then back on again.
  3. Retest the unit operation.
  4. If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.

If no steam:

  1. Check the water tank for leaks by filling the water tank and setting it on a table to see if it leaks.
  2. Turn the unit off, then back on again, and set it to Convection Mode on the lowest setting.
    • See Convection Steam Oven Temperature Ranges.
    • If multiple batches of cookies are made using Convection Steam mode, for example, the unit may stop producing steam.
    • Steam is produced at 212°F.
    • If the unit reaches 350°F, steam is no longer produced. Unit will need to be cooled to a temperature below 210°F.
    • If the unit is already heated to a temperature over 210°F and a steam mode is activated, steam will not appear.
    • The oven needs to be cooler than 210°F when a steam mode is selected in order for steam to be produced.
  3. Open the oven door to allow the unit to cool to a low temperature below 210°F.
  4. Reset the unit to Convection Steam mode at the recommended temperature. Check for steam production.
  5. If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
