The L Series Wall Oven does have a Sabbath Mode that is Star-K Compliant.

Setting the Sabbath Mode:

  1. Touch desired oven ON.
  2. Touch oven LIGHT ON, turning on the lights in one or both ovens (optional).
  3. Touch BAKE or ROAST. Oven is preset at 350°F. To change oven temperature, immediately enter another temperature using number pads.
  4. Touch ENTER. If preferred, repeat the above steps with the other oven for Double Wall Ovens.
  5. Touch and hold ENTER for 5 seconds to set Sabbath feature.
  6. Oven chimes twice and "SABBATH" appears in the control panel display.
  7. Oven stays on until this feature is canceled.

To Exit Sabbath Mode:

  1. Touch oven OFF.

Change oven temperature while in Sabbath:

  1. Touch TEMPERATURE.
  2. Use number pads to select desired oven temperature.
  3. Touch ENTER.
  4. The oven will randomly change oven temperature.
    • The oven control is programed to randomly change the oven's temperature. There is no standard time, sequence, or temperature raise or drop to how the oven randomly changes temperature.
    • The programming or software information pertaining to how the oven randomly changes temperature is proprietary information and is not available; however, the L Series Wall Oven Sabbath Mode has been certified by Star-K.
    • Early L Series Wall Ovens do not have the ability to change temperature while in Sabbath Mode.
    • There is no serial number break or time frame for when the change was implemented.
    • If the control board is replaced, the unit may gain the ability to change the temperature while in Sabbath Mode.

Setting oven for Delayed Start or Timed Cook in Sabbath Mode:

  1. Add food to the oven.
  2. Touch desired oven ON.
  3. Touch BAKE or ROAST. Oven is preset at 350°F. To change oven temperature, immediately enter another temperature using number pads.
  4. Touch COOK TIME. Use the number pads to set the number of hours/minutes the oven will stay on. Example: Set 3:30 for the oven to stay on for 3 1/2 hours.
  5. Touch STOP TIME. Use the number pads to set the time of day the oven will shut off.
  6. For Double Ovens, repeat previous steps with other oven.
  7. Touch and hold ENTER for 5 seconds to set Sabbath feature.
  8. When cooking time is finished, remove food. Ovens cannot be reset until the Sabbath feature is manually stopped.
  9. After the Sabbath or holiday is over, touch oven OFF to stop this feature.

After recovery from a power failure, the L Series Wall Oven will recover to the Sabbath Mode setting.
