A Kitchen Designed for Family Gathering
Created for a large, close family, the kitchen prioritizes generous storage, durable finishes, and intuitive work zones that support cooking and hosting together.
Adaptive Reuse of an Indoor Pool
The former 32‑by‑82‑foot pool room was reimagined as a kitchen, dining, and living space—honoring the home’s history while giving new purpose to an extraordinary volume.
Architectural Scale, Carefully Balanced
Warm tones, layered textures, and softened brick surfaces prevent the expansive space from feeling cavernous, creating comfort without diminishing its grandeur.
Ceiling‑Driven Engineering Solutions
Replacing the glass ceiling with a framed structure allowed for improved insulation, controlled light, and a direct venting path for the range hood, all while preserving clerestory daylight.
Performance‑Led Appliance Planning
Sub‑Zero and Wolf appliances anchor the kitchen’s functionality, selected early and protected throughout the process to support serious cooking and large‑scale entertaining.
