2019-2021 KDC Finalist

This centrally located kitchen had to feel both open and intimate and seamlessly transition between cooking, eating, and entertaining zones. Because the home was situated along a riverbank, designers Dovide and Lloyd Sector wanted to capitalize on the scenic views. They also wanted material continuity throughout the home.

One way of achieving this goal was through integrated, panel-ready appliances. The family liked to cook, and Sub-Zero and Wolf products became a priority. The red knobs and industrial look of the Wolf range became a central element of the design early in the process. The Wolf M series ovens were chosen to blend in with the millwork and the black glass complemented other black glass elements in the home. Matching custom handles were designed for the tall panels on the Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer. Now a hub of the house where everyone can gather, this kitchen is a luxurious space with the feeling of a boutique hotel.
