The homeowners, originally from Abu Dhabi, dreamed of a modern interpretation of a Mediterranean estate. They did not want elaborate millwork or detailing, just a contemporary, sophisticated palette of materials and finishes. With three generations residing under one roof, it was very important the entire family had enough space in the kitchen to create and enjoy customary cuisine.

The vision was to source incredible, luxury materials and exercise restraint. It was a challenge to incorporate substantial appliances and turn them into architectural anchors. Sub-Zero and Wolf products were placed for function and balance, allowing for an easy flow of traffic in the kitchen. With the homeowner’s business in wholesale groceries, food preservation was never more important to a client. Eliminating transfer of flavors is a feat only Sub-Zero could conquer.
