Ravine Residence – Bar
text-h1
Ravine Residence – Bar serves as both a walk-up service bar and a fully functional secondary kitchen, designed for a large, blended family that loves to entertain. Positioned adjacent to the wine cellar and directly across from expansive glazed openings, the bar connects seamlessly to both interior gathering spaces and outdoor entertaining areas. The design balances dramatic visual presence with practical performance, allowing the space to operate effortlessly during large events while remaining refined and intentional.

A Dual-Purpose Service Bar
The bar functions as both a striking design feature and a discreet second kitchen, supporting interior and exterior entertaining.
Integrated Within the Home’s Architecture
Material continuity and proportion allow the bar to blend seamlessly with the surrounding spaces while maintaining its own identity.
Structural Transformation
Removing existing walls and reworking mechanical systems opened the space and introduced a dramatic change in ceiling height.
Intimate Scale, Dramatic Impact
Lower ceilings and rich materials create a jewel-box effect that contrasts with the light-filled family room above.
High-Performance Tools, Visually Subtle
Integrated appliances support catering-level functionality while preserving the bar’s sleek, hotel-like aesthetic.
