2nd Place Traditional Kitchen Award Winner 2019-2021

Every space in this small urban cottage serves a purpose when it needs it. In a relatively small footprint, the design team was able to create open flow, ample natural light, and even a refuge for a perfectly balanced home serving a family of nine.

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove products were chosen for their function but also to seamlessly integrate into the desired architectural aesthetic. The range wall, featuring a 48" Wolf Dual Fuel Range, along with the integrated Wolf hood, takes center stage given its alignment with the main living and dining spaces. Carved in limestone and salvaged from a landmark musical building in Chicago, this relic stands above the Wolf 48” Wolf Dual Fuel Range. The inscription on the hood reads, "in your hands lies the power to weave the dream which the poet promised us.” They say the heart of the home is the kitchen, and the true symbol of this home’s heart resides in this range hood.
