The request was very clear; create a kitchen connected to the great room with easy access to an outdoor eating area. Another goal was to create a balance between the interior elements and the spectacular views outside. Architect Celeste Robbins knew the kitchen had to be functional, but when it shares the main living space, the marriage of beauty and function in the design becomes even more important. The blue-green Heath tile backsplash and warm wood cabinets echo the palette of the meadow grasses and expansive sky to the mountains.

The clean and timeless 60” Wolf Dual Fuel Range anchors the kitchen and accentuates this elevation as a focal point, balancing the two ends of the large open room. The Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, with their custom grooved wood panels, blend seamlessly with the millwork along both walls. This allows the kitchen to become an integrated part of the whole living space while bringing a calming, resolved design that looks effortless and natural within.
