prior to first use to begin clean the system thoroughly with warm water and a mild detergent gently slide the system out of its frame and clean the storage area too rinse with a water dampened towel with cold fresh tap water only water should be changed daily to prevent bacteria and mold growth the water tank accepts a charcoal water filter helping reduce lime scale and absorb chlorine and other contaminants to use touch the gear icon and then select water filter setting follow the on-screen prompts and directions in your use and care manual for proper installation and replacement replace the water tank and close the service door the coffee system accepts both whole bean and pre-ground coffee let's start with the whole bean access the bean compartment by sliding the coffee system out and pivoting the left side of the lid clockwise carefully pour whole beans into the whole bean compartment do not put pre-ground coffee in the whole bean compartment to avoid contamination and clogging do not use oily caramelized or flavored beans to ensure freshness it's best to add only the beans you need that day to ensure proper extraction you can adjust the grind to adjust the system must be actively making a coffee beverage adjust the grind incrementally by half levels do not adjust more than one setting per grind turn the dial toward the large beam icons and higher numbers for a coarser grind and faster beverage delivery turn toward the small bean icons and lower numbers for a finer grind and slower beverage delivery we recommend starting at level three or four it may take up to three brew cycles to optimize the mill to the new grinder setting in addition to finding the right grind setting for your taste brew temperature is important in producing full robust flavor without bitterness access coffee temperature through user setup via the gear icon we recommend beginning at high or max depending on your coffee the setting may need adjustment lighter roasts tend to perform better with higher temperatures dark or espresso roasts perform better at a slightly lower temperature to correct bitter tasting coffee try a coarser grind in a lower temperature if your coffee tastes weak adjust the mill to a finer grind and the water to a higher temperature [Music] now with the water in the tank and beans in the compartment it's time to brew first touch the bean icon to select your desired strength then touch the cup icon to select the size each beverage type produces different volumes so refer to your use and care manual for a volume reference place a cup or two cups side by side for dual dispense drinks under the coffee spout slide the spout up or down to adjust to the height of the cup the spout should be as close to the cup as possible select beverage type to dispense refer to the use and care manual for beverage options and descriptions near the end of the beverage dispensing cycle plus extra will appear on the screen if desired touch to continue dispensing and to increase the drink volume touch stop once the desired volume is dispensed now let's review some specialty drinks and how to brew them in addition to regular coffee your wolf coffee system can craft a wide range of pre-programmed specialty espresso and milk drinks like lattes cappuccinos and macchiatos it also makes frothed milk for hot chocolate or chai lattes to fill the milk container press the tabs on both sides of the lid and lift fill with milk cold whole milk produces the best froth oat milk is the recommended dairy alternative milk as it performs most similarly to dairy milk do not fill the container with flavored or sugary milk replace lid adjust the froth regulator knob to the insert position slide into the receptacle on the front of the system a beep indicates correct installation place a cup under the coffee spout ensuring the milk spout is also positioned over the cup depending on the beverage you will need different cup sizes refer to your use and care manual as you would with non-milk drinks adjust the strength and size of the beverage select the beverage type to begin dispensing adjust the knob to your desired froth level none minimum or maximum find recommendations for each beverage in your using care manual after your beverage is dispensed place the rinse container under the milk spout turn the knob to clean a small amount of residual milk and steam will release it is important to clean the milk spout after every use unused milk may be stored in the milk container in the refrigerator if you wish to make flavored or specialty drinks such as a cafe mocha that are not pre-programmed we recommend adding flavorings or syrups to the cup before brewing to make hot water install the included water spout into the receptacle on the system beeps indicate the spout is installed correctly place a cup under the water spout select the hot water icon in the beverage options to dispense hot water the system will automatically dispense eight and a half ounces of hot water or touch stop when the desired volume is dispensed you may also use pre-ground coffee to craft drinks if desired flavored pre-ground coffee may be used to brew with pre-ground coffee touch the bean icon until the scoop icon appears slide the system forward pivot the lid and flip open the pre-ground coffee lid using the provided scoop place one scoop of pre-ground coffee into the funnel then close the lid only use one scoop more will clog the machine slide the system back into position select your desired size and place a cup under the coffee spout and then select your desired beverage type to start dispensing to brew a pot of coffee up to 25 and a half ounces ensure the water tank is full and the ground's container is empty before starting the cycle use only whole beans when making a pot of coffee to assist with cleaning a rinse cycle will automatically run before the system turns off dispensing a small amount of water through the coffee spout if desired place the stainless rinse container under the coffee spout after use in anticipation of the auto off rinse cycle the auto off is triggered by 30 minutes of inactivity adjust the auto off duration in user setup accessible via the gear icon to use the system again after auto off simply touch the standby power button on the bottom of the open cavity at icon select auto start and choose your desired start time toggle auto start to on at the designated time the system will turn on rinse and preheat place the rinse container under the coffee spout in anticipation of auto start within the system you can save up to six unique profiles all with favorited drink settings each user can set their desired strength milk volume and coffee volume for every type of beverage to create a favorite touch the profile icon to select the desired user profile if your beverage will include milk insert the milk container into the receptacle place a cup below the coffee spout touch the heart icon select your desired drink option touch the plus or minus icons to adjust the strength touch ok if the drink contains milk adjust the froth regulator to the recommended level and milk will dispense touch stop when the desired amount of milk is dispensed and to save the setting next coffee will dispense touch stop when the desired amount of coffee is dispensed and to save the setting you have now created a custom favorite to recreate your favorite select your user profile and ensure the strength and size settings are set to the heart icon select your beverage to dispense [Music] lastly keep all you need to craft delicious hot beverages within arm's reach and out of sight slide the system out to access storage space on either side of the unit there are designated spaces where you can store the empty milk container and the hot water spout simply slide them into place additionally you can store the rinsing cup additional beans grounds flavorings syrups and cups use whole beans within one to two weeks of purchase for peak freshness for best results store the beans in an airtight container in the discrete storage space behind the system or in another cool dry and dark place pre-ground coffee should be stored and used similarly [Music] as previously noted the self-cleaning system automatically rinses at start up and shutdown to minimize the amount of routine cleaning required we recommend placing the stainless rinsing cup under the coffee spout to collect the water released during rinsing the stainless rinse container is dishwasher safe clean the stainless steel accents using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner and apply with a soft lint-free cloth remove fingerprints and food soil from the touchscreen using a spray degreaser spray degreaser on a cloth before wiping the touchscreen clean the coffee spout periodically using a sponge remove any coffee deposits in the holes with a toothpick about once a month clean the water tank with a damp cloth and mild dish soap rinse and towel dry empty and clean the grounds container when empty grounds container appears on the screen and the drip tray before the red water level indicator protrudes from the cup tray open the service door and slide the drip tray and grounds container out discard coffee grounds from the grounds container wash with warm water and mild dish soap rinse and towel dry clean the infuser at least once a month turn the unit off using the system power button open the service door and remove the drip tray and grounds container pinch the two red buttons inward and remove the infuser soak in water for five minutes then rinse and towel dry do not use detergent to clean the infuser it will remove the lubricant on interior parts remove coffee deposits with a sponge and vacuum any residue slide the infuser onto the internal support and bottom pin then press push until it clicks verify the red buttons are pushed out [Music] the clear liner of the milk container can be cleaned in the dishwasher do not submerge the lid or the stainless steel milk container in water instead clean with a damp cloth and a mild detergent rinse with a water dampened towel and dry with a soft cloth to disassemble the lid for cleaning pull the intake tube down to remove pull the milk spout away from the lid to remove remove the froth adjustment knob by rotating it to the insert position and then pulling the knob away from the lid use a toothpick to remove any debris from the channel in the knob in addition to routine cleaning
