Q&A with Mauricio Rodriguez
Where do you find design inspiration?
Anywhere... watching people's way of life, viewing regional and modern architecture, or the car industry, or walking around on San Miguel de Allende.
How do you approach the design process?
I talk to my clients and try to understand their needs and their way of life. I go to their place, walk around, see the light, see the materials...
What makes your aesthetic stand out amongst other designers?
I focus mostly on function, then on form. I try not to mix too many materials.
What is the greatest value you provide to your clients?
I try to design a space where they can work happily every day, where they can gather around with family and friends. I try to design a kitchen that will remain aesthetically and functionally up-to-date for many years.
