measure the intended rough opening space according to the specifications in the installation or design guide the depth of all integrated models is shown before panels are installed the standard rough opening depth is shown however you may need to adjust this based on the thickness of your panels in order to be flush with surrounding cabinets for tall models custom panels can exceed the height of the unit as long as their weight is below the recommended limit adjust the height of the rough opening according to the height of the panels if the door panel is taller than the unit a decorative valance may be used to finish the area behind the door panel the valance must stay behind the front plane of the finished moulding finish the inside edges of the rough opening along with the sides and a portion of the backside of decorative panels they will be exposed when the doors are open as the reveal between the cabinets and the integrated unit decreases the potential for severe finger pinching increases toe-kick clearance varies with the height of the lower drawer panel or the overall column panel height integrated models can accommodate various toe-kick heights a clearance below the bottom of the drawer or column panel must be kept so the unit is properly vented any decorative base molding must be removable for servicing and condenser cleaning and cannot cover the kickplate louvers two integrated units may be placed side by side in a dual installation see the Sub Zero design guide for the required dimensions for your units a dual installation kit is required for installations with two inches or less between the units kits are available through your sub-zero dealer if a 27 inch unit is installed next to a 36 inch unit the decorative front panels will align however the face frames will not this is only visible when both doors are open doors must be able to open to 90 degrees also be sure to leave enough clearance
