Madison, Wis. (April 21, 2006) – Wolf Appliance Co., a leading manufacturer of cooking appliances, today unveiled the new company’s new rangetop, complete with a proprietary patented dual stacked sealed burner design. This sealed burner rangetop can incorporate several modular options, affirming the company’s commitment to developing innovative products that provide a variety of cooking technologies in a single multipurpose appliance.
“The Wolf sealed burner rangetop blends the latest in appliance design, technology and beauty,” said Jim Bakke, president and chief executive officer for Sub-Zero and Wolf. “ It combines the same performance, control and power serious cooks expect from Wolf.”
The new rangetop will be available in retail showrooms in the Summer of 2006 in three models: 30-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch. When combined with additional modules such as the charbroiler, grill, griddle and French Top, there are a total of nine size/burner configurations. This allows the homeowner the flexibility to prepare many different food dishes with varying cooking styles.
The patented dual-stacked burner, unique to Wolf, uses the upper-level burner for maximum heat transfer and the lower-level burner for simmering on all burners, yielding output of up to 15,000 Btu/hour on most burners. No matter the combination of burners and additional modules, one burner is tailored for less intense heat with a maximum of 9,200 Btu/hour and a low output of 300 Btu/hour at melt level to allow for greater cooking control.
Porcelain coated iron grates cover rangetop burners and Wolf signature red knobs easily control burner temperature. The sealed burner design allows the user more convenience with easier clean-up and superb temperature control, and these new models create ultimate cooking flexibility with features like True Simmer on all burners, in which the user can cook below 950 Btu/hour.
