Dents in Stainless Steel
Topics:
- How to remove dents or dings in stainless steel
- Can dents be taken out of stainless steel, or does the part need to be replaced?
Answer:
Sub-Zero and Wolf do not recommend a specific product or method for removing dents from the stainless steel.
- Minor dents may be removable using the same process used to remove automotive dents.
- Contact a local dent removal company for assistance.
- Removing dents with the "dry ice method" is not recommended.
- If the dent in the stainless steel can't be removed, the only way to resolve the cosmetic issue would be to have the stainless steel part replaced.
Major dents should be inspected by a Factory Certified Service Company to ensure that no functional damage to the unit has resulted. The damaged parts can be replaced by service as well.
