Answer:

The custom panel for the Cove Dishwasher cannot exceed 20 lb (9 kg).

  • If the panel weight exceeds 16 lb, the door can no longer be balanced and may fall open.
  • Installation guides prior to September 2018 state that the maximum panel weight is 16 lb.
  • This was changed to a maximum weight of 20 lb, with less than 16 lb being ideal, per the guidelines outlined in Cove Dishwasher Custom Door Panel Mounting.
  • The door tension can be adjusted for panel weight. Refer to Cove Dishwasher Door Tension Adjustment for more information.
