Special Authorization Use

Topics:

  • How long does a service company have to submit a special authorization?
  • How long are special authorizations good for?
  • Is there a waiting period to use a special authorization?
  • Is there a waiting period before a special authorization number can be submitted for payment in ServiceBench?

Answer:

A special authorization number is valid for use in ServiceBench the day after the authorization is issued.

Special authorizations may be used for claim payment up to one year after the date of issue. If Sub-Zero and Wolf are still covering the repairs and the authorization is more than one year old, a new authorization is required.

If a customer has had service within the last year, ask the service company what their warranty is. Service companies warranty their labor for different periods of time, so a special authorization may not be needed.

If the serial number is not in the system for any product, the claim can be faxed to Field Partner Support at 608.441.5886 or emailed to fieldpartnersupport@subzero.com. If mailing, send to:

Sub-Zero Group, Inc.
Attn: Field Partner Support
PO Box 44848
Madison, WI 53744-4848
