Standard and Flush Inset Installation Differences

Topics:

  • What is the difference between a standard installation and a flush inset installation?
  • What is counter-depth refrigeration?
  • Can all Sub-Zero models be installed flush with the surrounding cabinetry?
  • Wolf flush inset installations

Answer:

Many Sub-Zero and Wolf products can be installed in a standard or flush inset installation.

  • A unit installed in a standard application will sit proud or sit forward of the surrounding cabinetry or countertop.
  • In a flush inset installation, the front or top of the unit sits flush or on the same plane as the surrounding cabinetry or countertop.
  • If there are not flush inset installation specs available for a unit, then it cannot be installed flush.
  • For PRO series refrigeration units, flush or standard is in reference to the face frame of the unit, not the front of the door. The door will always sit proud of the cabinetry for PRO units.
  • Refer to the Sub-Zero Design Guide and Wolf Design Guide for design specifications and images.

Refer to the product Installation Guide for further installation information.
