Items to Verify
  • No change.
  • No change.
  • No change.
  • Whether the original unit had a reduced height grille (to reduce overall unit height to 83") or an extended grille (to increase overall height above 84"). If so, order a new reduced height or extended height grille for the new model. See Classic Series (BI) Grille Height Options.
  • Whether the new model door clearance fits if installed near an island. See the Sub-Zero Design Guide for details.

Panels

  • The panels from model 685 will not fit model BI-42UFD.
  • The BI-42UFD is a French door model, so two door panels are needed for the refrigerator.
  • New custom panels would be needed.
  • Side panels cannot be reused.

Refer to the Sub-Zero Design Guide for design specifications and the product Installation Guide for further installation information.
