  • How to delay ice falling from ice dispenser

Answer:

Only Sub-Zero Legacy Classic (BI) Series, 685, and 695 models have a Delayed Dispense feature.

  • Multiple keystrokes are used to release a small batch of ice from the ice maker into the dispenser chute, then to open the chute to dispense ice.
    • Because ice is only falling the short distance from the dispenser chute, rather than the full distance from the ice maker, the ice falls with less force.
    • This reduces the likelihood of ice missing or damaging glassware.
  • Because batches are small, ice may have to be dispensed multiple times to fill a glass

Turn Delayed Dispense Feature On or Off:

Sub-Zero recommends that a Factory Certified Service technician completes this change. However, it is possible for customers to change the mode without service.
