E Series Lower Oven Cooling Fan HES Stall Detected | 4A10 Error

Cause

  • Lower cooling fan HES stall detected

The cooling fan will detect a stall if both these conditions are true:

  • Speed is below 1200 RPM
  • Speed is more than 200 RPM less than the requested speed

Relay board changes fan speed by pulsating the AC voltage.

  • Multimeters are unable to read pulsating voltage.
  • Pulsating can only be measured with an oscilloscope (O-scope) which is not a common tool for a service technician to have.

The voltage to the speed sensor should be 5 VDC between pin 1 and pin 2 on the harness connector.
