- Prior to serial (PTS) number 17000000, gas conversion for Legacy DF ranges is not possible.
- Only high altitude kits for LP units are available for units PTS 17000000.

- The burner design was different and made field conversion impossible to make sure of proper unit operation.
- LP units above 8,600' use a high altitude kit.
- For natural gas units above 10,250', conversion is only possible on units starting with serial number 18180000.
- It is unusual for natural gas units to require a high altitude conversion. LP is usually the only option at such an altitude.
