2 oz. Meyer lemon juice

2 oz. bourbon

1 oz. Cointreau

Sugar for rim

Ice for shaking

Lemon for garnish

Preparation Method

  1. Use a slice of lemon to wet the rim of a martini or coupe glass and dip glass into sugar to make a sugared rim.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour lemon juice, bourbon, and Cointreau into the shaker and give it a good shake!
  3. Strain the sidecar from the cocktail shaker into your glass with a strainer or the top of the cocktail shaker.
  4. Garnish with either a lemon twist or wedge.
