Designer Series (IC, IT, ID, IW) Control Backlighting

Topics:

  • How the control panel in Designer (Formerly Integrated) is lit
  • Control panel lighting
  • Are the control panels in a Sub-Zero Designer unit back-lit

Answer:

Designer units use an LCD style display with a backlight. The internal lights do not affect the display; however, the light switch does.

If the display is not visible, or is partially lit:

  1. Verify power to the unit.
  2. Verify that the light switch is good
  3. Replace display panel if necessary.
  4. If needed, replacement lights bulbs can be purchased locally or may be ordered through a Factory Certified Parts Distributor.
  5. See also, Sub-Zero Control Backlighting.

Note: For Designer Wine Storage units, control panel back lighting is not affected by the door switch. They are lit up even when door is closed to show through the glass.

Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair if needed. Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.
