Determine If Wolf Gas Product Is Natural Gas or Liquid Propane

Topics:

  • How to tell if a unit is built for natural gas (NG) or liquid propane (LP) gas
  • How to determine if gas appliance was converted

Answer:

The serial tag and rating plate contain the gas type information, either natural gas (NG or NAT) or liquid propane (LP). See Wolf Serial Tag Locations for location information.

  • If a gas product is converted to the other type of gas, a sticker is placed near the original serial tag and rating plate to indicate the gas type change.
  • A unit that has been converted can be changed back to the original gas type if needed.
