Broiling with a Convection Steam Oven

Topics:

  • Can a Convection Steam Oven (CSO) be used to broil food?
  • How to broil with a CSO

Answer:

Broil Mode is available for the Convection Steam Oven on newer models only.

  • Legacy Convection Steam Ovens do not have a broil element, but convection steam is a super-heated steam that provides comparable instant browning results.
  • Use Convection Steam Mode to cook foods that are tender inside and roasted or crisped outside. Food retains its own moisture.
    • Press MODE to turn on or turn off steam.
    • Temperature range is 85°F - 445°F.

To Broil:

  1. From the appliance home screen, select Broil.
  2. Select OK.
  3. Select desired broil setting (Low, Medium, or High).
  4. Select Start.

Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.
