Cove Dishwasher Hot Melt Run-Off

Topics:

  • DW sealant peeling off
  • Hot melt melting
  • Tub has a goo coming from the seam
  • Cove leaking glue

Answer:

Hot melt glue is used to hem the tub stainless steel edges together. If there was an excess of glue applied in production, it can leak out of the seam. This is normal and not harmful.

To remove:

  1. Grab and pull the excess hot melt glue to remove.
  2. Wipe off any residue with warm water.

There is no need to reseal the area.
