Bluetooth Not Working on Connected Module


  • Cannot get connected device to connect over Bluetooth
  • Bluetooth diagnostic bit is bad


  • Connected module not responding to Bluetooth communications


  1. Verify the appliance can connect. See also, Connected Appliance Products.
  2. Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on the mobile device. See Turn on Phone Bluetooth
  3. Verify that you are standing within range of Bluetooth connection (approximately 20 feet from the appliance).
  4. Verify the Sub-Zero Group Owner's App has permission to use Bluetooth.
    • For iOS: Go to Settings > select Privacy > select Bluetooth > set the Sub-Zero Group Owner's App slider to allow Bluetooth access. 
    • For Android: Go to Settings > select Apps > locate and select Sub-Zero Group Owner's App > select Permissions > set to Allow. 
  5. Verify the app is updated to the latest version. See also: 
  6. Restart the mobile device and try the app again.
  7. Reset the circuit breaker to the appliance for 30 seconds. Turn the product on and try connecting again.
  8. Unplug connected module for 30 seconds, then reconnect the module and try the app again.
