Sub-Zero Door Shelf Disassembly

Topics:

Answer:

200 Series, 300 Series, 500 Series, and 600 Series

Product door shelves can be disassembled for cleaning. However, they are sometimes difficult to assemble properly. The door shelf assembly slides into the molded glides of the door liner.

To disassemble the door shelf (as shown below):

  1. Remove the shelf from the unit.

  2. Place a flat-blade screwdriver into the outside end cap and pry the end cap away from the shelf assembly.

  3. This will release the end caps from the door shelf, allowing the door shelf support to slide off the open end.

To assemble, pop the inside end cap on first. Then put the outside end cap in place and tap it in until it locks into place.

Door Shelf Removal (600 Series Shown):

All Other Models

  1. Shelves cannot be disassembled.
  2. Try soaking the shelf in warm water and soap to remove residue if needed.
  3. If this does not clean the shelf, a new shelf may be needed. Contact a Factory Certified Parts Distributor to order parts.
