Cause:

• Improperly loaded dishes
• Blocked spray arms
• Machine is not level
• Possible motor issue
• Filter or drain plug loose

Troubleshooting:

For specific noises:

1. For rattling noises, make sure the dishes are securely placed in racks and the spray arms spin freely.
2. For a grinding or humming noise:
   • In a dishwasher with water softener, a grinding or humming noise might be the normal water softener operation. See Cove Dishwasher Water Softener Regeneration for more information.
   • Verify filter is secure. See Cove Dishwasher Filter for more information.

For general volume:

1. Noise is reduced if the dishwasher is full. The run with the dishwasher with an empty tub can be noisier than when full.
2. Verify the kickplate is installed, as the unit is noisier with the kickplate off.
3. Verify the kickplate insulation is installed, as it reduces noise.
4. Check the dishwasher is level in the installation. Adjust the feet to the proper level. Refer to the product installation guide for further information.
