Answer:

To turn off the Downdraft in the up position for filter removal and cleaning:

1. Press the Low button to raise the unit and turn it on to low speed.
2. Press the Low button again to turn the blower motor off for cleaning.
3. Remove the filters for cleaning.

   • The Downdraft cannot be lowered until the filter is replaced.

Note that the Use and Care Guide implies that the Downdraft can be turned off from Medium or High speed as well. This is incorrect. Only the Low speed button, or the Up/Down button can be used to turn off the Downdraft.
