"The goal for this traditional kitchen was to contrast the simple, natural colors of the house with a warm and inviting kitchen. At our client’s request, this kitchen includes an innovative design for two Sub-Zero 700TCI refrigerators. The Sub-Zero 700 series may be completely integrated, and so we frequently encase 700s in free-standing, armoire-inspired cabinets. For this project, we employed our fully-customizable operations to create such a cabinet with a unique, three-dimensional panels resembling large, tufted cushions. We also decorated the refrigerator cabinet with an arched-bonnet top and furniture base. This tufted effect was echoed throughout the kitchen, including in the two glass-front cabinets opposite the 700s. While this kitchen is traditional in style, we eschewed the obvious design choices, and did not distress the finish. Instead, we preserved a clean, modern aesthetic with a simple, coffee-colored stain and European frameless cabinet construction. These choices allowed us to showcase the beautiful clear Alder. This kitchen also includes custom-designed island legs, a one-of-a-kind recessed door profile, and our sliding glass doors for display of and easy access to our client’s everyday dishware."
