Designer Column (DEC) Control Board and DC Power Board Removal

Answer:

Tools required:

  • T-20 Torx bit
  • T-15 Torx bit

Instructions:

  1. Disconnect the product from the power source.
  2. Open the door to access the kickplate and unit tray area.
  3. Remove the decorative kickplate, if present.
  4. Remove the kickplate mounting screws. Remove the kickplate.
  5. Remove the lower grille mounting screws. Remove the lower grille.
  6. Remove the unit tray screws. Pull the unit tray outward, and pull the control board housing forward.
  7. Open the housing, and disconnect the wire connectors.
  8. Remove either the control board or DC power board, as appropriate.
    • If replacing the control board, it is necessary to configure the control board after installation.
