Answer:

During self-clean, the oven heats to an extremely high temperature to burn off food soil.

  • Remove all oven racks and rack guides. See also, Remove Oven Racks and Rack Guides.
  • Remove the bake stone, if in place. Refer to Bake Stone Kit Use and Care Information for cleaning instructions.
  • The oven door will lock and stay locked until self-clean is complete and oven temperature has cooled below 550°F (290°C).
  • Self-clean times include one hour for cool down.
  • For models with two ovens, only one oven may be in self-clean mode at a time. The other oven will not operate in any mode.
  • The surface burners of a Next Dual Fuel Range may be used while the oven is self-cleaning. The surface and area in front of the range may be warmer than normal with the self-clean running.
  • All Wolf Dual Fuel Ranges have a self-clean feature. Wolf Gas Ranges do not have a self-clean feature.

Porcelain is made from natural products and, therefore, can chip or develop fine lines and cracks due to the expansion and contraction that occurs as oven temperature fluctuates (particularly when the self-cleaning function is employed).

  • This can result in cosmetic imperfections, such as a cloudy, dull, or scratched appearance.
  • Cosmetic imperfections may be more visible in a colored oven cavity.
