Sub-Zero Classic Series (BI) Error Code H2 LO

Cause:

  • Water valve was energized continuously for 150 seconds
  • 1 gallon of water was dispensed within 15 minutes

Troubleshooting:

H2 LO on the control panel of a Classic Series (BI) unit indicates 1 gallon of water dispensed within 15 minutes, or water valve energized 150 seconds.

  • The water dispenser is in lock mode.
  • This is a safety feature designed to prevent a stuck key from flooding the home.
  • The unit will automatically unlock after 45 minutes.

To Unlock Water Dispenser:

Unlocking the water dispenser varies per model and location of dispenser. Refer to the information below for specific instructions:

External Dispensers (BI-42SD and BI-48SD)

  1. Press and hold the dispenser Light key (above the illuminated key icon) for five seconds.
    • It is possible a small amount of water will dispense after five seconds. This is normal.
  2. The unit will beep two times, and the dispenser unlocks.

Internal Dispensers (BI-36UFDID, BI-42UFDID, BI-42SID, and BI-48SID)

  1. Firmly press the dispenser Water key five times within 20 seconds.
    • Quickly tapping the Water key will not work. Press firmly each time.
    • It is possible a small amount of water will dispense on the fifth push. This is normal.
  2. The unit will beep two times, and the dispenser unlocks.
