Answer:

To get the best results from cooking with an Induction Cooktop:

  • Always have all of the ingredients next to the Cooktop before turning on the unit. The unit heats so quickly that it can be difficult to get the ingredients ready while the cooktop is heating.
  • Initially, use less power when cooking on the induction elements. This keeps the food from getting too hot.
  • After the skillet or saucepan is hot and cooking the food, turn the unit off when there are only a few minutes left on its cooking time.
    • The residual heat in the pan will finish the cooking process.
    • This is great with sauces, egg dishes, stir-fries, and other fried meat dishes.
  • When heating the skillet before searing a steak, use high power, not boost. This allows the pan to get hot without overheating the glass. If the glass becomes overheated, the unit turns off to protect itself from overheating.
  • Induction saucepans work for cooking popcorn. Do not heat in boost to heat the oil initially.

When using an Induction Cooktop:

  • Cast iron skillets are the best material for using on the Induction Cooktop.
  • Place the pan directly on the cooktop.
    • Wolf does not recommend placing any material between the pan and the Induction Cooktop when in use.
  • Remember the power levels are:
    • 10 bars = high
    • 9 bars = medium high
    • 8 bars = medium
    • All lower bars are less than 50% power.
