Designer Series (IC) Column Ice Behind Drawer

Topics:

  • Door will not close
  • Ice behind bottom drawer
  • Ice falls out when drawer opened

Troubleshooting:

Clear any ice from behind the drawer and try closing the door again.

Answer:

Due to the size of the bin and production capacity of the ice maker, it is possible for the level arm to push ice out of the bin.

  • This can prevent the door from closing.
  • Lightly shaking the drawer side to side before opening helps redistribute the ice so it does not fall behind the drawer.
  • If ice has fallen behind the freezer baskets, refer to Designer (Formerly Integrated) Freezer Baskets for removal instructions.
